This summer, step away from city life and experience Soundscape, a three-day outdoor music festival set in the breathtaking backdrop of a former Girl Scout camp. Nestled beside a serene lake and surrounded by 200 acres of untouched nature, the festival is a celebration of sound system culture and community. Embark on a journey through reggae, dub, hip-hop, and electronic beats across three stages both indoor and outdoors. Besides the music, enjoy workshops, wellness and recreational activities, all making for a perfect weekend away from the hustle and bustle.

Rooted in Jamaican traditions, sound system culture has historically united communities through the power of music, transcending space and time to foster social expression and strengthen community bonds. Soundscape celebrates this tradition by curating a diverse mix of genres essential to sound system culture—from the roots to the future sounds—continuing the legacy of music as a communal heartbeat and connecting attendees in a shared, vibrant experience.

Channel One Sound System

Iconic reggae and dub sound system from the UK, celebrated for their deep roots in Rastafarian culture and their participation in the Notting Hill Carnival since 1983.

Mungo’s Hi-Fi Feat. Solo Banton

Glasgow-based sound system and music production collective, renowned for their reggae and dub music, embodying the traditional Jamaican sound system culture since their founding in 2000.

Kebra Ethiopia Sound System

Globally recognized collective hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, celebrated for their dedication to spreading a message of unity and social awareness through music.

A former Girl Scout camp, forgotten by time yet preserved by nature, serves as our canvas. Surrounded by pristine wilderness and with a private lake as a backdrop, Moonrise Valley offers an idyllic setting for the festival. Located just under three hours from New York, the venue boasts multiple indoor and outdoor stages, docks for swimming, cozy campgrounds, and all the amenities needed for a memorable weekend escape.

Getting There

Moonrise Valley is accessible by car and located just under 2.5 hours from New York City and Philadelphia, making it a convenient drive for those coming from the city or surrounding states. Parking is available on-site for a nominal fee, and we encourage carpooling to minimize environmental impact and enhance your festival experience. For GPS directions, use the following address: Moonrise Valley, 906 Wallerville Rd, Lake Como, PA 18437

If you’re joining us from afar, the recommended airports are Newark (EWR), New York (JFK) and La Guardia (LGA), which serves both domestic and international flights. From each airport, you can rent a car, or hop on a shuttle to reach Moonrise Valley. The drive from the airport takes approximately 2.5 hours, offering scenic views of the New York State countryside along the way. Alternatively, Wilkes-Barre Scranton (AVP) is a smaller airport located just within an hour from the festival site.

For a stress-free journey to Soundscape, consider taking a shuttle. We’re looking to offer direct routes from major cities to the festival grounds. This is an eco-friendly and social way to start your Soundscape adventure. Stay tuned for announcements and shuttle tickets.

Tickets can be purchased exclusively through our official website. Visit the tickets page for available types and pricing.

No, Soundscape is an all-age event. Must be 21+ for purchasing alcoholic beverages. Kids under 16 years of age accompanied by adults do not need a ticket.

All ticket sales are final. However, tickets can be transferred. Please contact us for assistance.

Our on-site campground is located steps away from the festival site. Campers will have access to basic amenities including portable water, showers, and restrooms. For those seeking comfort, local hotels and inns around Moonrise Valley cater to diverse tastes and budgets. We recommend booking early, as accommodations fill quickly this time of the year. We’re working on glamping options so stay tuned.

Essential items include your ticket, ID, camping gear (if camping), swimming suits, picnic blankets, warm clothing, and personal items.

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, certain items are prohibited, including weapons, illegal substances, and pets (service animals excepted).

Attendees are allowed to bring personal food items into the camping areas but not into the main festival grounds. A variety of food and drink options will be available for purchase. Anyone found with outside alcohol will be asked to leave.
